OUR CHORISTERS
The San Fernando Valley Youth Chorus is committed to fostering an appreciation of choral music and celebrating the musical gifts of each member. SFVYC is comprised of two ensembles, our Kinder Choir (Kindergarten to 3rd grade) and Concert Choir (ages 4th grade to 12th grade). Concert Choir meets from 9am-12pm and Kinder Choir meets from 11am-12pm on Saturdays in West Hills.
Concert Choir
The SFVYC Concert Choir serves members currently in 4th-12th grades. Vocal health, ear training, aural and sight reading skills are built into each rehearsal, fostering an environment of professionalism and music literacy. This ensemble is regularly invited to perform with professional instrumental and choral ensembles throughout the greater Los Angeles community and participates in regional choral music festivals and competitions.

Kinder Choir
Kinder Choir is for young singers currently in Kindergarten to 3rd grade. In class, choristers sing, dance, and make music in a fun play-based environment, with the goal of encouraging each student’s love of music. We learn basic singing techniques and musical skills through song, movement/dance, rhythm and body percussion activities, and lots of fun games.
During the season, Kinder Choir will be learning, practicing, and performing several of our own songs, as well as joining the Concert Choir (“big kids”) for one or two of their songs. We welcome new friends to join us in class, so please contact us if your child would be interested in making music with us!

SFVYC Mini Maestros
Mini Maestros is a delightful musical adventure designed for parents and their little ones to explore the magical world of music together. Through interactive play, catchy tunes, and creative activities, this class fosters a strong bond while nurturing early musical development. Join us for a harmonious journey that will leave both parent and child singing, dancing, and smiling in perfect harmony!
